Homeless people

Post by Soylent Blue on Sat Jun 18, 2011 12:53 am

Something iv'e always wondered is how someone could go from fine to homeless. I'm pretty sure most homeless people are not born homeless.

Should we do more to help them? If so, how?

They usually gamble/drink their way to homelessness. But I don't know how to help them with that problem.

i think they got themselfs over that problem when they went bust
drugs is another reason, the drugs get more importent thsn the bills so they dont pay the bills and get kicked out of their apartment and scrounge mony to get drugs so money wont help them only theropy to help them get over he drugs, a job and a place to live to get them back on track

yeah, i mean you feel bad for homeless people, but you have no idea whos gonna buy food and whos gonna buy cocaine. my grandpa told me he doesnt give homeless people money because they mostly buy drugs and alcohol, and sadly thats true.

Or if you want to troll, walk by while commenting aloud how your SECOND home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an outside swimming pool

You could give the homeless gift cards. They might be able to trade it for drugs though...

Sometimes my church will find a homeless person on like a trip or something, so we'll take him to a nice restaurant and buy him dinner. Gift cards are another good way. I mean, who's gonna trade a $15 burger king card for cocaine?

You never know mp, some people are actually that desperate. Food's a better option than money, it will always be for the homeless. Even if it's like a bag of Dorritos or a candy bar, any food can help them.
