Is America really the fattest country?

I wouldn't say it's where the most fat people live. Maybe it's just the most materialistic. Anyway, is America being fat a fact or stereotype?

A: Over two-thirds of U.S. adults are overweight or obese.

All adults: 68 percent
Women: 64.1 percent
Men: 72.3 percent

A: Less than one-third of U.S. adults are at a healthy weight.

All adults: 31.6 percent
Women: 36.5 percent

It's not exactly good news, but the United States is no longer the world's fattest nation. It turns out that the rest of the world is gaining on us, putting on more weight at a faster pace. This is especially true in Pacific island nations and in the Middle East, where Kuwait now represents the world's fattest industrialized nation. Both regions seem to be struggling to adapt to modern, sedentary lifestyles over a rather short period of time.

I hate it when people call americans fat. Yes, many of us are fat, but more of us arent.

I see more anorexic girls AND guys (guys are ussualy fit) I don't think were all that fat.

It put africa in "overweight".

i live in the U.S.A. and i never eat fast food after i found out what they put in it. plus i work out but yes sadly those fattys give the rest of us a bad name

America has the highest number of overweight people, this is a fact last time i checked britain had the highest percentage of overweight people

Huh, I didn't see any more fat people in Florida than I did in the UK when I went a couple of years ago. o_O
