Random Drug Tests

Importent or invasion of privecy?

Depends on the kind of test and the reason for doing it.

What if the drug will make you blind? Would you still do it?

I'm talking about when busineses make their employes take a urain or other test to make sure they are not on any drugs.

Random drug tests I aprove. Nothing to worry about if you don't do drugs.

I just think its unessary. I don't think it's their business if someone smokes weed or do any other drug outside of work. If it's causing trouble at work that's different though.

If they have a medical Marijuana license it shouldn't count against them. But it is illegal activity otherwise. You can get fired for a DUI, then you should be able to get fired for using drugs illegally.

Yes, but if they have no suspicion, why should they have the right to test you?

If you don't take the test, no job for you. If I owned a business I wouldn't want some druggy kids working for me. They made a worse decision enough to do drugs, I won't let them ruin my company. You may call it "invasion of privacy", but its not privacy if its illegal. If cops bust your door down because they smell pot smoke coming from your house, you can't defend yourself by saying "This is my privacy!". They will arrest you for drug abuse. Same goes with a company. If a company tests you, and you come back positive, they can report you and you can not only be denied a job, but also be arrested.

*AHEM* importAnt, it is vital because it helps keep many people from doing those things, even if for a short period of time. Many people don't realize that they act differently on drugs. These same people have often already lost their right to privAcy when they committed illegal acts. These substances are illegal for a good reason, it's not because their really fun, and the gov't is just being a mean parent. These drugs do so much damage to individual people and the society as a whole, that it benefits no one to legalize them. *Marijuana is the only discrepancy, I have, and that's mainly for medicinal purposes; NOT for smoking.
OH, and it is possession of a controlled substance/paraphernalia for marijuana, DUI only gets added if you're driving, (in certain states) biking and skate boarding, (and in some states) walking on the sidewalk.
The only people who are afraid of random drug tests are addicts.

i said if the test goes wrong i.e. urine samples get mixed up or the test displays falce results even if its entirly accurate people will still get nerves with their career on the line
