Age Limits

Ok, so I went to a sports store and was looking around.
I found a machete and thought, "Sweet, I can afford this."
When I brought it up to the register I had my ID ready at hand.
The clerk never asked for any ID or anything.
Basically, I bought a weapon with no ID check.
Am I the only one who thinks this is weird?

That doesn't sound legal. What I don't understand is that you can buy a R rated movie with sex and violence without an ID, butv no matter what you can't buy an M rated game without an ID.
Similar to your story, my friend bought a butterfly knife (which are illegal in Pennsylvania). The guy was allowed to sell them if they claim they are a collector. Loophole win!

Well, here in Idaho, you need an ID for (usually) everything. Buying cigarettes, alcohol, R rated movies, M rated games, buying paint (for some reason), purchasing a gun, yada yada yada.
It just surprised me that they don't ask for an ID for a bladed weapon.
Arguably, though, a machete is used to cut objects and not people. Its not made for self-defense. So I guess they assumed it was for camping trips or something.

Idc bout age limits.. On the internet im like 54 or somethin. Machetes are legal though.. In nebraska, i have no idea what you can/cant biy, i spend all my money on food and itunes.

Yeah, they should have checked you id, but I do hate some age limits! Like I mean seriously, age limits are stupid is some cases like what horizon said with the video game thing. And usually if I can't buy a game I want, I'll just go to my dad and ask him to buy it for me. What I really hate are age limits with sites like photobucket, fb, etc.
