Highschool of the Dead [Review]

I totally forgot that you can write reviews in the Desk forums! 
Before I start this, I'm NOT all that into anime. I only know about this one, and ones I watched when I was younger.
Anyways,
On the Terraria Online Forum website someone made a thread titled "Worst Anime". Basically you just list your most disliked anime show and explain a little why.
I said Inuyasha, but that's off-subject.
Someone else mentioned a show called Highschool of the Dead. They said it was terrible due to too much fan-service... (Fan-service is when usually the female characters are portrayed in sexual ways to please the viewer.)
I thought, "Wait... one of my friends loves that anime! I've wanted to watch it for a while but completely forgot."
I also never believed there was such thing as "too much fan-service"... 'till I watched all 12 episodes.
I'll put it in spoilers to conserve room.

PLOT
- Spoiler:
- It's about some highschool kids who were having a normal day. The main character (Idk his name because I'm terrible at memorizing Japanese names) just got dumped by a girl he likes. Who's also a main character... We'll call him "Main-Guy" and the girl's name will be "Brownhaired Girl". As Main-Guy mopes over the break-up a zombie break-out strikes the town. A zombie gets into the school, bites a few people, those people bite other people, and BAM! Zombie break-out.
Long story short, Main-Guy and Brownhaired Girl escape with a Gun-Guy, Pinkhaired Girl, Sword Girl, and the school Nurse. That will be all their nicknames....

- -Visuals: The visuals blew my f*cking balls off... Possibly the best visuals in an anime I've ever seen. Everything was awesomely detailed. Nothing was half-assed.
-English voicing: Being that the original was in Japanese, it has English dubbing. And GOOD LORD! I'll admit that other anime shows can have some cheesey voice acting. But this show... Holy mother of robo Jesus.... It's like it was made specifically for English. Nothing sounds out of place or cheesey. They actually say things actual teenagers would say.
-Characters: All the characters are very memorable and even lovable at times. At first I hated Brownhaired Girl. She was just dumb. And annoying. But towards the end I can't imagine this show being as good as it is without her in it. I also hated Pinkhaired Girl A LOT at first. She's just straight-up snobby. But again, can't imagine it being as good without her. The only character who didn't give or take to the show was the Nurse... She was just there for fan-service. Kinda pointless character.
-Character development: My favorite part about the whole show is that nearly EVERY character changed over the course of the 12 episodes. You learn a lot about them all and you end up liking all of the 6 main characters. It surprised the hell out of me how good the character development was.

- Like mentioned earlier, there's WAY too much fan-service... Here's how my reactions went per episode:
"WOAH! Zombies! Hell yeah! Shoot their f*cking heads off! WOOOO- woah, wtf, uhhh.... boob time? What the- panty shot time? Uhh ok I guess?"
It had fan-service where it wasn't needed and even took away from what was happening. And sometimes it was borderline PORN.
It's seriously the only bad part of the show. Fan-service is ok, but not 24-f*cking-7 ESPECIALLY during action scenes where we want to see some zombies being bashed in the head. Fan-service should only happen during down time... not in the middle of the damn climax...

^rofl sound good, plus i hate 'fan-service' if i want boobs ill go to porn hub, it takes away from practically every movie ive ever seen, its always never needed
